CALL FOR PAPERS

Scope
The conference scope includes all aspects of superconductivity and related phenomena. The conference list of topics provides a general guideline for abstract submission including experimental and theoretical approaches to the physics of superconductivity, its mechanisms, material synthesis, processing, characterization and applications. The conference format will include six plenary speakers, five microsymposia, six parallel sessions for oral presentations and poster sessions. Additional three plenary lectures will be given by the award winners.

Abstract submissions will be performed electronically at the M2S-RIO website, starting November, 2002. The deadline for abstract submission is January 15, 2003. To be entitled for publication in the Conference Proceedings, every contribution must be presented by a registered author.
Also, each registered author is entitled to have only one paper published in the Proceedings.

 Proceedings

The proceedings will be published as special volumes of Physica C-Superconductivity and its Applications (North-Holland, an imprint of Elsevier Science B. V.), in keeping with all previous M2S-HTSC Conferences. The Conference proceeding will be peer-reviewed. Manuscripts must be submitted in the webpage.

Registration

The registration fee covers attendance to all Technical Sessions, Exhibits, Welcome Reception, Excursion and Coffee Breaks.
CANCELATIONS AND REFUNDS: Pre-paid registration fees are refundable, except for a US$75.00 processing fee, only if request is received in writing (mail or fax) by Congrex do Brasil by April 10, 2003; however, a substitute registration request will be accepted.

The Conference Proceedings are not included in the registration fee and will cost US$ 80.00.

 Exhibition

A Parallel Exhibition for materials and equipment suppliers will be held in conjunction with the technical sessions. The Exhibition is planned to be set in an area with 1666 square meters, equipped for setting-up technical-scientific exhibitions, with all the necessary facilities. The cost for a shell scheme booth (9m2) is US$1,700 on or before March 14th, 2003. After this date the cost is US$2,000.
